Dry Needling

Dry needling is a specialized treatment technique used to relieve muscle pain and improve mobility. It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into trigger points – tight knots in muscles that can cause pain and limit movement. By targeting these areas, dry needling helps release tension, reduce inflammation, and promote the body’s natural healing process. This therapy is especially effective for treating muscle tightness, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. It’s commonly used to improve performance and speed up recovery for athletes, runners, and individuals dealing with everyday muscle discomfort. If you’re experiencing lingering pain or stiffness, dry needling can be a game-changer in restoring movement and reducing discomfort.

Cupping / Recovery

Cupping has been used for centuries in the practice of Oriental Medicine (or Traditional Chinese Medicine) in order to treat all types of diseases. In the medical community, cupping is widely accepted as a therapy tool in order to treat neuro-musculoskeletal impairments causing pain. These impairments include muscle soreness, spasms, decreased flexibility, and reduced blood flow. The negative pressure inside the cups leads to an increase in blood flow, responsible for healing and repair. The cups also create a ‘stretching’ or ‘tension’ moment through the fascia underneath which leads to increased fibroblast activity. Fibroblasts are responsible for connective tissue healing, remodeling, and repair, and thus, reduces pain.

Graston / Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy that uses stainless steel instruments to break down scar tissue and fascia and improve soft tissue mobility. By gliding the tools over the skin, the therapist can detect and treat areas of restriction, promoting faster healing and reducing pain. This technique is highly effective for conditions like tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and muscle strains. Benefits include decreased inflammation, improved range of motion, and enhanced recovery, helping patients return to activity more quickly.

Manual Therapy

Training in safe and effective joint and spinal mobilizations. These techniques can be beneficial for stiff or painful joints. This is a customized bodywork technique aimed at preventing sports injuries, enhancing athletic performance, and speeding up recovery. By focusing on specific muscle groups and using a combination of soft and deep tissue techniques, improves flexibility, reduces muscle tension, and accelerates healing – helping everyone achieve optimal conditioning and peak physical health.
